Father, first we praise You! We are thankful that you are mindful of us! In the midst of Corona virus and the death, disruption, and chaos that are accompanying it we seek you! We ask that you would protect your people.  Just like the psalmist, we say of You Lord – You are our Fotress, our God in whom we put our trust. You will deliver us from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.  We will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, not the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand, but it will not come near us. (Parts of Psalm 91) We trust You!

Now Lord, we pray that you would give government officials and medical professionals wisdom. Give them keen insight that only you can give. Let scientists quickly find options for treatment. Let hospitals and facilities have more than enough equipment. We pray that you would raise your hand against this virus and let it cease. And we stand against the spirit of fear that plagues the nation and the world. Lord, turn people’s hearts towards You. Hear from your people and heal our land!

Father, provide provision for those who are unable to work. Provide peace for those whose lives have been disrupted. Restore global economies. And Lord, especially during this time let us hear from You more and in a very real way so that we may be encouragement and help for those around us. We love you dearly and trust in You. In Jesus’s name! Amen!
