Let’s Pray Together…

Father, we give You praise and honor this morning. Even in the midst of a pandemic, You are still worthy of our adoration. So before anything else, we just whisper “thank you.” Thank you that we are alive. Thank you that You are our Strong Tower. Thank you that You really are our Healer, our Protector, and our Deliverer. And we praise You because of who You are!

Now Lord, we pray that You would move by Your Spirt in our lives. Give us wisdom in all that we do and help us to adjust well to our new situations. For those of us who are home, help us to develop productive routines and processes, while at the same time valuing a different pace. For those of us who have children with us, help us to model appropriate routine and behavior. Also, help us to communicate well with them and give us eyes to see them as you do. Show us gifts and talents in them that we had not yet recognized and give us ways to help enhance those gifts. With children that are having difficulty learning or focusing, give us techniques to help them to prosper in their development. And even when we are tired and frustrated help us to ALWAYS speak words of life and encouragement to them.

Lord, give us the ability to engage with everyone in our homes in positive ways. Strengthen our relationships. Give our teenagers and young adults hope where they feel hopeless. Even while things have stopped, let them know that they have a place in this world. Let them have a passion to learn even if not by traditional methods. Give them creative ideas and solutions to global problems. Let them be a generation of innovative, solution minded people who build based on kingdom principles. And Lord, where there is tension or strife in homes, send peace. Where there is lack, bring provision. In places or situations, where we have become hopeless, let us remember that our hope is only in You.

Father, we acknowledge that difficult times expose and heighten those things that are often hidden. So show us our own hearts. We repent for busyness, misplaced attention, overspending, striving, and impatience. We repent for being self centered and critical. We repent for not being thankful for small things. Create in us a clean heart and help us to renew our minds. Let us be those who give, those who think of others, those who stand against injustice, and those who seek peace. Let our hearts beat for You and burn for something other than ourselves.

Comfort those of us who have lost loved ones or have people in our lives who are sick. Help us to mourn appropriately. Remove any guilt and condemnation that we may feel about the relationships or about not being able to be present.

And during this time, revive our old dreams or give us new ones. Give us new vision! Revive us for purpose and ignite passion in us! Open new doors. Bring forth rivers in our desert places and let us be light in this earth. Let you Kingdom Come and Let Your will be done! In Jesus’ name. Amen!

Thank you Tara, for helping us to pray in areas of our lives where we are slack and showing us how to give glory and honor to our God regardless of what we may be going through. So softly all the day, I thank our Lord for you and for our hope in Jesus the Christ.

    Oh, Hallelujah and AMEN!
I echo, “And during this time, revive our old dreams or give us new ones,” as it brought tears to my eyes and I feel the weight of the Spirit desiring that to be a cry of our hearts which He YEARNS, with groanings too deep for words, to answer!
(I had technical issues when this came out the other day, so I’m late to the party … but bringing up the rear guard!!!!)

      And Amen to that Fuller!
